As an artist, my passion lies in exploring the human form and the emotions that connect us all. Born in Reading, England in 1997, I've been creating art since childhood, constantly drawn to the tranquility and patience it demands. For me, art is all about the "experience" – both the artist's and the viewer's – and how we can share these experiences with one another.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Art degree in Fine Art from the University of East London in 2020, I turned my focus to portraiture. My artistic style is a unique blend of realism and abstraction, often starting with abstract layers and building upon them to create depth and intrigue. I work primarily with digital paintings but am continuously expanding my skills in physical mediums like oil painting.

I draw inspiration from renowned artists such as Jenny Saville and Egon Schiele, as well as lesser-known incredible talent like Emma Hopkins. Their works have helped shape my own artistic expression, which has gone through many phases over the years. The result is a highly personal and dynamic approach to portraiture that I know will continue to evolve and grow.

Through my art, I hope to evoke a sense of connection and shared understanding. I believe that by expressing our own experiences and emotions, we open the door for others to do the same. It's this exchange – this portal into one another's lives – that makes art so powerful.

As I continue to develop my skills and explore new mediums, I remain committed to creating works that inspire, challenge, and unite us. I'm excited to see where this journey takes me and to share it with all of you.

Rae.
